Between three oceans
Sweden plans a state visit to Canada this week. State visits strengthen international partnerships, move shared interests forward and support Canada’s larger diplomatic objectives. This comes on the heels of Sweden’s SAAB and Canada’s Bombardier working closely together.
CADSI (and Canadian industry representatives) attended the NATO Industrial Advisory Group in Romania.
Spain announced its upcoming Canada-Spain business forum to be held on 3 Dec, in Toronto, with a focus on infrastructure.
Canada’s Embassy in Portugal joined the community of international education professionals in Quebec including visits to Quebec’s thriving AI and innovation ecosystem.
Canada is in the running for the location of the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank. It has the VC and defence finance community excited, but competition will be fierce among the up to 40 participating nations.
On the continent
Poland’s MSPO just opened the door to Canada and gave you another reason to attend - making Canada the lead nation.
MSPO takes place from 8-11 September (2026) in Poland.
Next year it won’t be sandwiched with DSEI (held every two years);
This is Canada’s second-largest presence at a defence show in Europe;
Poland is the gateway to Eastern Europe and the fourth-largest defence market.

For the second year in a row, Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce partnered with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) in organizing the Canadian Delegation & Canada Pavilion at the ReBuild Ukraine Conference in Warsaw.
Canada’s Trade Commissioner Service launched a Maritime Safety and Security in Germany and Finland Canadian Technology Accelerator.
